Metallica by Request: EU Tour 2014

Being one of the most famous heavy metal bands ever, Metallica had to make a splash for their 2014 World Tour. So extensive use of lasers from the team at ER Productions was an obvious choice. The majority of the shows for their 2014 EU tour were festivals, including a headline slot at infamous Glastonbury festival in the UK.

This was also the first Metallica tour, where fans had the ability to vote beforehand; on what song Metallica would play.

Show tech

The tour had 258 watts of laser power supplied by ER Productions; all controlled using Pangolin’s LD2000 software, QM2000.NET hardware, and TC2000 SMPTE Timecode controller. Effects were perfectly coordinated together using a Road Hog lighting console.
